Saved Landscapes, 2000
In 1999 Hans Bol photographed a series of peripheral landscapes in the city of Amsterdam; he photographed places that seemed unaffected by the present city, traces of a landscape that was there before Amsterdam started to grow into what it currently is.
24 Panoramic photographs, introduced by a topographical history on the landscapes around Amsterdam written by Arnold van der Valk en Rob van Leeuwen. It resulted in a small book called 'Gespaard Landschap' - sporen van het verleden in de Amsterdamse verkaveling ('Saved Landscapes - traces of the past in Amsterdam's re-allocation'). Published by 'De Balie', ISBN 90 6617 257 6).
