India-Nepal, 1995-1996

In 1995 I started traveling in India for the first time. This trip particularly took me to the norhtern part of India. The absolute highlight of that trip was going through Ladakh, east of Kashmir, in the province of Himachal Pradesh. One year later I made a similar trip again, going through the same area, to which I added a journey through the southern parts of India.
During my trip in 1996 I met my present wife.
In 2004 I traveled again to the north of India, this time to the very source of the Ganges. From there, I slowly went south. Once again, I was stunned by the overwhelming variety of the Indian culture.
