Spain, 1987-1998

In 1987 I traveled through Spain for 6 weeks. A trip through vast spaces, archaic landscapes and sometimes chaotic cities. It reminded me of other extensive trips through the United States. Also Spain has high planes, strange buildings on the roadside, filmsets and ghosttowns.
In 1997 and 1998 I came through Spain again, on my way to Morocco. It struck me that Spain had lost much of its peculiarities and idosyncrasies and had become more and more a European country like most other European countries.
